INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg. of oats
- 1 cup of crispy popped rice
- 1 cup of cornflakes
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 package (200 gm.) of sunflower seeds
- 1 package (200 gm.) of pumpkin seeds
- ¼ cup plus 2T. dark brown sugar
- ¼ cup plus 2T. honey
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ tsp. salt
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup dry cranberries
- ½ cup chopped dried apricots
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 250˚ F.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, seeds, and brown sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine honey, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color.
- Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add dry fruit and mix until evenly distributed.
