INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg. of oats
  • 1 cup of crispy popped rice
  • 1 cup of cornflakes
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 package (200 gm.) of sunflower seeds
  • 1 package (200 gm.) of pumpkin seeds
  • ¼ cup plus 2T. dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup plus 2T. honey
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • ½ cup dry cranberries
  • ½ cup chopped dried apricots

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 250˚ F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, seeds, and brown sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine honey, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color.
  4. Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add dry fruit and mix until evenly distributed.
